Gather your family or housemates together, grab a camera and dump out your LEGOs for this LEGO Story Contest. Write a story, act it out on camera with your LEGOs and submit it to the form below for a chance to win a $100 LEGO gift card!

Your film will be judged based on story originality, technical execution, and adherence to the requirements laid out below. Judges will be announced soon.

This contest is open to anyone of any age.

Deadline for submissions is Saturday, May 23 at 11:59 PM CDT.

The winners will be announced during a special live-stream showcase at 7:00 PM CDT on Sunday, May 24. This will be live-streamed on the Art Fest Online homepage as well as our YouTube channel.

The Elements

Your film must include the following elements in order to qualify for the grand prize


CHARACTER

A superhero


PROP

A red, blue or yellow flower
(must be seen on screen)


LINE OF DIALOGUE
"I don't think before I act. It's part of my charm."
(must be heard in the film)


The Rules

  • You must produce the entire film yourself or with your team.

  • Films must include the 3 elements listed above. This prevents any team from creating a film ahead of time and provides an interesting twist for each film being created. Elements must appear in the story of the film and any elements embedded into the credits DO NOT count.

  • Films must include at least one LEGO character but does not have to be entirely made of LEGOs. You may incorporate other things such as outdoor elements, other toys and other household objects.

  • Submitted films must not contain excessive harsh language, nudity, graphic violence, or extremely mature themes as this event is designed for community participation for all ages.

  • Films must not incorporate copyrighted music unless permission has been granted by the artist and/or company who owns the copyright. Each team will be responsible to ensure their films are not breaching copyright laws.

  • Once the contest has ended and prizes have been awarded, each team will maintain the rights to their created content and are free to submit their work to any other contest, organization, or social media platform they desire.

  • By submitting your film to this contest, you agree to the legal terms contained within this document.
