Creative Writing Workshop

In this workshop, we'll learn how to write choose-your-own-adventure stories by thinking through structure and coherence as well as exploring the many avenues that only this format offers.

After the initial workshop students will collaborate to produce choose-your-own-adventure stories that will be published as part of the festival's closing ceremonies.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is open to participants who are 13 years old or older. Workshop capacity is limited to 15 students and students are expected to work on the story project throughout the duration of the festival.

This workshop will take place on Zoom.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Zeke Jarvis

Zeke Jarvis grew up in Rhinelander, WI. He received his BA from UW-Madison and an MA and PhD from UW-Milwaukee. Currently, he is a Professor of English at Eureka College.

His books include So Anyway..., In a Family Way, The Three of Them and Antisocial Norms. He has also had some plays and a monologue produced and stories published in Moon City Review, Cicada Magazine, and Posit, among many other places. More information about Zeke can be found at his website.
