Safer-at-Home Flash Theatre: From Script to Performance

Join the Art Fest Online social distancing theatre troupe for an unforgettable theatrical experience from your home. Delivered over two sessions, this course employs collaborative play-writing techniques to draft a farcical script set in a ZOOM meeting gone wrong. How wrong? Join this workshop to help us decide.
After we have the framework for the story typed-out we will adjourn so that our writer-performers can draft individual monologues to add to predetermined spots in the script. We then return in full costume for our second session to rehearse and then we will perform our show near the end of the festival.
We welcome theatre enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels to join us. All the world's a stage and right now we all could use some comedy.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Ryan Winn
Ryan Winn teaches Communication, Theatre, and English courses at College of Menominee Nation. He also serves as the director of Wisconsin’s New Native Theater Festival and was the editor of the Badger State’s Native arts and culture journal, Yukhika-latuhse—aka: ylvoice to non-Oneida speakers.
Additionally, Winn writes a monthly column forTribal College Journal, reviews audiobooks for American History Magazine, and travels around Wisconsin teaching writing and performance workshops. Rest assured, he is well-versed in both theatre lingo and Dad jokes.
