THE CAUSE

Art Fest Online is a unique arts-focused event that is designed to foster the arts during this season of stay-at-home life.

In a time of global and national crisis, art is one of the most important things for humans to participate in because it's part of what makes us human: to create and celebrate life through art. However, this crisis has made income for artists even more difficult than it usually is.

THE SOLUTION

Art Fest Online seeks to support art during this season by providing platform and income for artists as well as giving others the chance to participate in and create art for themselves.

The festival features a variety of virtual workshops and performances from professional artists as well as art activities and contests for anyone to participate in.

THE DIFFERENCE

In the first weeks that the world began to shut down, the internet was immediately inundated with free virtual art. From virtual galleries to thousands of live-stream concerts, it was wonderful to see the charity of artists and art organizations in a time of crisis, but it became quickly overwhelming. Now, with many of us living most of our lives online, Art Fest Online is meant to only be a starting place. It begins online, but the goal is to give you the opportunity to bring art into the physical world, to get your hands dirty with a new art form, and to provide artistic experiences that encourage you to get off the couch, away from your TV or computer, and to celebrate life through the arts.

THE DETAILS

Art Fest Online will run from Friday May 15th to Sunday May 24th with various workshops, activities and performances being provided along the way. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you prefer and all events are free to attend. If you do choose to participate, you can do so with the knowledge that you are not only allowing art to enrich your life, but you are also providing space and opportunity for artists to continue to make a living and build their platform.
